Athens Middle School Auditorium—Come show your support of Athens High School graduates. If you would like to help serve at the reception, contact Ron or Leah.

Youth Orientation Meal after the service Sunday 5-20-12 . Students who are currently in 6th grade, and their families, are invited to join us for a special dinner and a time of information, questions and answers. Lots of information will be available about upcoming events and ways to get involved in our Youth Program.

One of the deacon ministries is to encourage our church in its prayer walk. We are initiating a prayer room during our morning services. The time of prayer is specifically to encourage prayer for our service and for the spiritual well-being of our church. It also will be a time to remember other needs within our church. A prayer list will be available. The prayer room will be in the “conference room” across from Bro. Dan’s office.

Look for a sign-up sheet in the foyer for the next three months of Sundays. You can sign up individually, as a couple or with anyone you may desire to spend time in prayer together.

Plans are underway for a Summer Mission Trip to Covel, WV! If you are interested going, please sign up on the poster provided in the foyer. We are in the planning process for a mission trip to Brazil in 2013. It is not too early to start saving up for this event.

The food pantry is in need of food donations. If you would like to help with this ministry, we could use canned vegetables, peanut butter, tuna (or any kind of canned meats), soup, dried beans, pasta, spaghetti sauce or small boxes of instant potatoes and cereals.
